I was wondering how many how many styles besides Hung Gar use brass forearm rings in their training ?
Perhaps Southern Praying Mantis, Choy Lee Fut ?
Any information would be most helpful.

I use em. The style being Nam Sil Lum Hak Fu Pai.
good weight training, good for conditioning the arms as well.
Hung Gar uses em and other Southern Siu Lam styles use them.

When I was studying Hung Ga, we used them as well. Especially when Sifu noticed you were being lazy not holding up your arms, he would put a couple on and WATCH you to make sure you kept them up. Then when you dipped your arms, he carried a wooden stick with him and would tap you under your arms to make you pick them up! WHHEWWW…that was some pretty tough stuff…awww how I miss it!!
