Man what an awesome guy. He’s a muay thai trainer (practicing 50 years) who teaches a free class in hawaii. On the island of Honolulu (I think).
What an AMAZING man. He’s visiting my school (transformation arts, los angeles www.lakungfu.com) for two weeks. He’s a very good friend of my teacher Daniel carr. His personality is so friendly and healthy. He’s very knowledgable on all topics of martial arts, and buddhism.
“Americans don’t have the courage to come here,” Mullah Mohammed Omar, leader of the Taliban who right about now is getting jiggy with his first of 70 virgins.
“Are you guys ready? Let’s roll.†Last words of Todd Beamer heard over his mobile line right before rushing a hijacker.
The school is great. I love it. You should definetly give it a look. There may be a waiting list soon though, we’ve got a lot of students right now :).
I havent really asked Dan or Ajahn what they think about Muay Thai vs Internal arts, but from what I gather… I think that they believe that Muay Thai is a more effective combat skill, and that kung fu is a more effective training skill.
Plus kung fu looks cooler
That’s just speculation though, you’d have to ask them. If you check out the school within the next two or so weeks you’ll get to meet ajahn.
