Anyone here ever train with Gary Lam? Any stories? Or have an URL to his page?

I think he was a student of Wong Shun Leung as well as a Muay Thai fighter. I think there is a guy who posts here that trains under him.
I have learned silence from the talkative, toleration from the intolerant, and kindness from the unkind; yet, strange, I am ungrateful to these teachers.

Ya not only is he a student of WSL but also Muay Thai coach and ex fighter. I hear he has tredmoundously good wing chun.
He says in the ring Muay Thai is king, but on the street W/C has a better chance. Interesting thing for him to say, since he is clearly well versed in both.

i currently train under sifu gary lam. he’s a great wing chun guy. he trained under wong shun leung and went to thailand to train muy thai.
he doesn’t use all the muy thai stuff like high kicks to the head or anything but instead uses the knees, elbows, etc.
I attended a Gary Lam seminar 3-4 years ago when he first came to the US as an official Wong Shun Leung representative. He and my Sifu, Robert Chu, are pretty good friends. In fact it was at that seminar that I first met Sifu. The seminar was held at Hawkins Cheung’s school down on Venice Blvd. I had a good time at his seminar and learned a lot. I think he teaches in Monterey Park, which is like a suburb of the greater Los Angeles area.

It just so happens that a good friend of mine is one of Sifu Gary Lam’s top students. He created this web site for Sifu Lam.
