Hey, I enjoyed that.
Couldn’t understand a d@mn word of it but it was cool.

Next time, how about a link to some of that famous Swedish porn ?

nice

soundz like da beatnuts in a way, a swedish sort of way
im diggin it
props 4 hooking us up , how recent is this it sounds like the way
n!@@az used to slang in 93 tho thats the only thing.
is hip hop large over there, looks like theres a subcultcha goings on
specially since those cats was like trytin to be thuggin it up posing an s#!t.
Id vibe to it it sounds catchy , got a few english words in there here and there…and did he say “feel the dondadda” or am i just hearing stuff

that was fun

rap is huge EVERYWHERE. sorry but you guys over the ocean dont realise it, but it is. goto france - ask an average french kid about rap and they won’t even know that it came from the usa or that it’s not usual to rap in french. it massive here. japan. everywhere. all over europe. countries are holdin it down regardless of whats comin out of the usa.

it’s cool

thanks for the link man, even though i am halfway through writing a perl script i’m gonna go and look for some uk examples

thats the ****. what are they talking about, just out of curiosity?

We be holding it down in Jamaica too , for those of you that listen or even know what dancehall is, youll notice the ever present hip hop influence , especially in production.
but heads are holding down pure hip hop too , for years actually , and i dont mean just yardies like..well you know who those yardies are.
i fool around in the studio , but not as much as i used to, mostly i make beats on my drum machine or on the pc and that helps me de stress. used to write a whole lot more, but It was between that and my artwork for the most part, i decided to focus on what ive been doing since i was a baby.
the headz i used to roll with back in my h.school days they got thier own label an $#!t now, and i usually hang out and help out at thier studio when i got the time. thier stuff is off the hook though im tellin you. pretty hardcore for much airplay so far, but we got one or two local radio djs (that also do kungfu but wingchun ..oddly enough how it all works) who play the local stuff now and then.
we’re tradfitional as a people though , its gonna take a whole lot of time before rap or rock gets the credit it deserves in the island.
i mean rave gets a hard time as it is with a mere trinkling of supporters. its always been dancehall, reggae domination.
top hip hop acts in thier time have been known to come through our stages and they just didnt know how to work our crowd and got booed hysterically. ( oh well, im not proud of this)
recently though its not that bad, and folks that come down here for the hip hop promotions get good acceptance..maybe times are changin, anyhow gotta go.
gonna go ice skating …never done this before…oh well

Course you holdin it down in Jamaica man

that goes without sayin

Karl Hinds - Don Gramma - Low Bandwidth

Karl Hinds - Don Gramma - High Bandwidth (300k)

You probably won’t get what he’s saying or whatever but there u go. It’s a London version of big l’s Criminal Slang. You probably won’t get exactly the meaning of stuff or who the people are in his video but… yeah..

My 56k ass cant handle all that broadband…

I couldnt watch it.

Some more for you:

Out Da Ville - “Blood Sweat and Tears” - 56k

Out Da Ville - “Blood Sweat and Tears” - 300k

Ok, these guys are called Out Da Ville and they from Nottingham - even I think the girls have wierd accents. You might like them but you can’t deny the guys are hot, er, at rapping that is, - especially Scor say zee - the white guy - the first male rapper.

But they are no actors.

This is the last one I promise

Skitz - Domestic Science - 56k

Skitz - Domestic Science - 300k

Ok i dunno if you lot are gonna liek this stuff. It’s not the massively complez lyrical stuff it’s just what’s hot in the underground at the mo - or at least was a while back.

57th Dynasty are a big crew from Brixton, some US influence there cos some of them lived there and at least 1 of them is american

TY is a dope chilled UK rapper, that is not his best song by ANY MEANS but it’s all i could find.

Skitz is the name of the producer, this song actually has Wildflower, Estelle and Tempa, 3 female rappers taking the show. The first one in the video needs a spanking, she would get it so hard, oh my.

Please take time to watch them all and tell me what you think!

Hey Shark -

Last year I got a record from some London producers with a bunch of NYC rappers. Unsung Heroes, they’re called. It sounded reaaaal good to me, productionwise. Early 90’sesque (to me the golden age) Pete Rock, Large Professor, DJ Premier type beats. Are they pretty well known over there, or are they ‘big in japan’ as Spinal Tap used to say?

Records I’m feeling right now; AceyAlone, Pep Love, Azeem, Spearhead.

Cool sound. Has anyone heard stillmatic? Is it any good? Some people have told me its nas’s first good one since his first album.

Chang Style - The main guy in spearhead went to my sister’s high school. Crazy, huh?

who has knowledge of rap

nas second album was good and so was his other one
titled “i am” but his album nastradumas was corny.does anyone here know about the beef between the lox
and rocafella or between major figgas and the boy
chris c and beani sigel if know one knows about that then ur not up to date

Nemo -

Hey, tenuous connections happen. I’m a UT student, and this is also the alma mater of Tsui Hark (Chinese Ghost Story series, etc.) and Chris Ware (Acme Novelty Library, etc.)

So, not so crazy.
