I’ve been taking Siberian Ginseng for about two months now, other than never feeling exhausted, I haven’t had any other significant effects. (Yeah yeah, I know it’s supposed to stop fatigue, just stating the obvious ) Is there any NOTICABLE difference between the effects of siberian and korean ginseng?
Any body popping any other useful, (preferably legal) extra’s?
I thought you weren’t supposed to take ginseng constantly for extended periods like that. Aren’t you supposed to take a break every so often so your body doesn’t get used to it.. or something?
I have the idea that ginseng,at least chinese,is more like for disorder than maintaining of health.
If you´re young and have stable qi,you don´t need it.
Just my understanding though.
I believe ginseng can thin your blood. Which can be a significant factor if you are going into surgery or anything where you will require your blood to coagulate. Just remember that because herbs are sold over the counter they can still be as potent, if not more potent than many prescription drugs. Governments are starting to realize this, which is a bad thing for those that do their research, but probably a good thing for those that are ignorant of many of the effects of the substances they use.
Just thought I’d add that as a random thought. Not criticising you for ginseng use.
I’ve been taking some Korean ginseng extract, and it’s definitely on the hot side. There is a government office that controls alcohol and tobacco in Korea, so there is some consistency to
official Korean ginseng. Some say it’s the best kind, but that could
be nationalism. I think quality varies greatly for most other forms of ginseng, especially since it’s big business nowadays. Take a break for a week every month.
