Yea i feel the same Evolution. When people really had to earn a fight and prove themselves. I may be living in a fantasy but i think i woulda made one heckuva Samurai …well maybe not but a “Warrior” nonetheless. I made a long reason why i hated guns. I’ma try to find it.

The only people that i think should carry guns are soldiers and possibly police officers. I hate em because the only thing there good for is killing people, but i do understand the need for protection since most everyone had access to them namely criminals. Its to the point that you can’t even defend yourself or protect your friends and family or your property without someone pulling one out. I wish the government would make them illegal already and get it over with. I also hate em because it’s usually only cowards and little kids that use em’. No offense to people who geuinely use them to protect themsleves, which i’m sure is everyone here. Imagine getting shot by your 7 year old because you didn’t let em use his Playstation 2. (That actually happened today) or cuz some druggy won’t get off his ass and find a job, he takes your money and shoots you anyway just for laughs. Its not called the great equalizer for nothing. Someone can decide your fate in only a few seconds. The truth is that most people dont even have the stomach to attack someone with a knife and if they do its less assured that your gonna die. Now if you beat someone in a fight without using any tricks they have the choice to come back and gun you down. Thats just half the problems i have with guns, but these are just my opinions.
On a side note. You wouldn’t believe how much medical knowledge from years past has been lost. The Greeks, Egyptians, Chinese etc all had good medical care. They just put much of their faith in pagan gods so some of it was superstitious and just plain bogus but we could learn alot from them.

If you like the idea of living in a place where such personal freedoms are abolished and where law-abiding citizens have no effective way of defending their homes, family, strangers or self then you ALWAYS have the option to move your ass to another country which does not give you those innate rights on personal protection.

The serial molester at gunpoint, who when found in the bedroom of the daughter had his pants already around his ankles, handcuffed himself intell the police arrived.
When the police went to the intruders home they found several photos of children walking around outside, or what the police called “trophies”, for future hunts, he is also convicted of raping a 12 year old girl in a past breakin last October.

I woulda enjoyed it more too. I dont wanna go at with NRA supporters but i still dont find a reason for everyone to be armed to the teeth. This is the same country where i could shoot someone in self defense and still get sued by that person and i may even go to jail. I coulda also be sensible and carry around a Taser. I’m also not training for nothing. Yea everyone still needs to carry around guns blah blah blah, what are police officers for, why do we have a several million people in the military. Both in China and Japan the warrior class was often considered the lowest of the lowest. Most MA had to work as a potion mixer or similar to earn a living.
They few that were lucky to have been born into a rich or high Family had a good life. The rest strigled everyday to survive.

First, I would not like to have lived in China 500 years ago. There are other places I would like to have lived in the past, but not China.
Second, how can any American say that they are not living free today because of guns or that the 2d Amendment didn’t give them any rights? The Revolution was won by guns. Guns in the hands of Americans. The Brits didn’t want the populace to have any. That’s why the 2d Amendment to the US Constitution is there! It guarantees that the government cannot deny the population guns and rule by oppression!
The only reason any of us are here today, voicing our own opinions and having the right to b!tch about the government adn all this other stuff IS BECAUSE SOMEONE ELSE IN THE PAST TOOK A BULLET AND DIED FOR US!

The second Amendment not only gives you the right to keep and bear arms, it’s also an integral part of American law. It’s the equalizer! If the gov’t can have them so can you. If the criminals are going to use them, you can, too. It doesn’t protect criminals, man. It protects YOU!

People say how great it would have been to train and test yourself all the time, but I’d rather have all the benefits of training without having to defend my life and kill people all the time.
I don’t think we can fully comprehend how harsh things were back then.

And on the gun thing, yes the historical point about the revolution etc. is a good point. But half the reason IMHO that American society is so violent and desensitized IS because everyoe has guns.
Bottom line is : give the people guns, and shootings will go up.
