Does any one know what style the bad guy with the glasses used in the movie?was it just a made for movie style? i just liked the kicks and was wondering?

Ken Lo who plays the bad guy is J. Chan’s bodyguard in real life…from what I read, he’s a former kickboxing champion,but I guess he mut have touched some arts here and there…
