Do any of you live around me?

Hey guys…I am just sitting here about to train and I was thinking about training with different styles or the same style…
I was wondering if anyone on the forum of any style that does not live to far from me wouldnt mind setting something up and perhaps training together?
Most times are good for me…

Oh and another thing…I have my toungue pierced(the web undernieth it) and I put some proxide on it because I put my dirty hands all over it because the ball fell out.

I ended up getting alot of paroxide in my mouth…is this ok?

The roof of my mouth feels funny…

You won’t find many internal artists with a pierced tongue as it is proper to have the tongue resting at the roof pallete of the mouth.

Food for thought.

That’s funny, Joe. You got a hole poked through your tongue on purpose, but are asking if a little peroxide might be bad…?

You should not use peroxide on a tounge piercing. Your own saliva should be enough, but you may chose to rinse with an unflavored mouthwash.

However, if you want to continue to practice martial arts I suggest you remove your piercings. I did.

Do you mean just to train, or permanently, Lyle?

Do the holes fill in?

Who did this piercing for you? Your tongue is not like your ears, peroxide is not a good idea to put in your mouth!

The person who said Mouthwash is right. Use that, Listerine is probably best. Also, there is a product by Oral-B, I forgot the name. It is a little box that contains something like 25 packets the size of a Wet-Nap (you know, those smelly hand washing towels), except it has this sorta salty/minty powder in it. It is excellent for keeping your mouth clean in the initial phase, use it for a week. Go to the pharmacy and ask them about Oral-B, i think it’s really for kanker sores, so mention that. But remember to rinse with mouthwash 3 times a day and after every time you eat. That’s all you really need to do.

And despite it being bad for training, it’s good for the ladies so i’m never taking it out!!

ooops. I just read that it was the webbing under you tongue. the mouthwash advice was right - ignore my comment after that!

Hydrogen Peroxide is ok. It won’t kill you, but it will kill everything in your mouth. It isn’t good to use very often. In the specific instance you used it in it was probably a good idea.
Do not, I repeat, do not swallow it.

As far as ingestion of Hydrogen peroxide read this just to be sure. You would have already known if you poisoned yourself.

I doubt anybody here lives near you since you are pretty deep in to Western Mass. Move to bosotn and you are all set.
