BTW, you would want to try some milder variation of the above exercises. A great book is the “complete Illustrated book of Yoga,” just go to Borders and find a Yoga that features a real Swami and leaf through the twisting poses section.

Actually, what you describe is more a function of flexible hamstrings than back, but that’s kinda beside the point.
strangely enough I think you’re right. but splits and thigh and hip flexibilty is another thing altogether. try some pilates for in depth body awareness… have you before Iron??
