When trying to maintain a certain caloric intake level, how can you really know how many calories are in certain foods that you prepare. Take for instance a chicken salad: I marinate chicken(2 boneless chicken breasts) in Itallian dressing and prepare a caesar salad. Is there any kind of formula for summing up the total calories or do I just have to guesstimate?
Well you can measure the food. Ie. get a food scaleā¦but if you know roughly that you are using a 6oz chicken breast and half a head of lettuce, and 3 tablespoons of dressing you can look all that stuff up.
