Another intelligent reply from the ass assassin. He is funny in his own mind.

“My slave name is james, but my true name is dezi.” Which is correct? Bawang obviously has little social skill, poor grammar, thinks he knows everything and finds pleasure in putting others down. He does sound like a kid in a playground. If he practiced as much as he posts, he might be good. Better watch out, he might come after you in his helicopter.

Not mad. I just find you annoying and rude. But you get off on that. Constructive criticism, whether one agrees or not, is better than insults and inflammatory remarks.

If you don’t mind me asking, how old are you and long have you practiced tai chi and long fist?

the dude came straight out of a time machine from the 1970s. a classic Chinatown kung fu weirdo. there can be no constructive criticism. I never heard of any other hobby that involves being purposely ignorant and disrespectful.

im 24 and I practice since 13.

If you have no constructive criticism to offer, then why say anything at all? I practice and teach the Five Family Style. I do not disrespect, nor am I ignorant. Nor do I flail my arms around. There are ignorant and disrespectful people in all styles of martial art.

Where have you seen this arm flailing? Where have you seen this purposeful disrespect? And unless you are a prodigy, in my opinion, 11 years is not a lot of experience.

I think what Bawang is trying to say is that this topic has already been addressed countless times on this forum, as well as being addressed in numerous magazine articles and even some books. If it wasn’t the weekend, Gene would now come in here and plug his book, Shaolin Trips: [http://www.martialartsmart.com/btc-gc01.html](http://www.martialartsmart.com/btc-gc01.html)😛
Anyway, there’s a lot of info on this forum about what you’re asking already, and a lot of opinions–try the search function and happy reading.

i would like to hear an educated answer to this question as well. I have noticed a problem with the applications of shaolin kung fu. there seems to be something missing from them, and the teachers that teach them are also unclear about them. or reinvented them in recent time, without having a clear fighting knowledge.

so what that is what a kung fu forum is for, asking questions, not everyone is a full time message board writer, like this fool. and there is no reason for him to curse out people for asking a legitimate question, he has followed me around and spammed all of my post, the monitors should do their job and ban him.

I was criticizing your racist behavior in china. chair mao once said that we should welcome criticism. I have stopped responding to you after your complaint sir, but if you continue you are cyberbullying me.

the thread starter out of nowhere calls shaolin a circus teaching fake kung fu setup by evil commie government. that is quite offensive sir.

Ok, Look, the short answer is after the temple was burned the kung fu remained in the villages near the temple. When Shaolin Temple started to get big again the forms were collected and combined into standardized forms for the temple. Whether or not the applications are missing something probably depends on who’s teaching them. Others on here could give you a lot more detail on this–found this out first hand just a couple weeks ago. 😃😉 But again, all this and more is already in numerous threads on this forum. Here’s the most recent: [http://ezine.kungfumagazine.com/forum/showthread.php?t=66021](http://ezine.kungfumagazine.com/forum/showthread.php?t=66021) there are many more.

As far as Bawang goes, well, I’m not a mod and it’s not my responsibility, but there’s always going to be trolls on here. At least Bawang: A) Obviously loves kung fu B) Has some serious contributions to make C) Is sometimes very funny. D) Trolls trolls. Nature abhors a vacuum. I say if you get a quality troll, keep it. 🙂

I am not a troll. I am totally legitimah. but I can sense when someone is not truly seeking an answer to their question.

they can easily google that information, or purchase [shaolin trips](http://www.martialartsmart.com/btc-gc01.html).

Anyway, I’d love to stick around and watch this turn into a flame war, but I’m going to go walk the city walls of Pingyao instead. Have fun. 🙂
