> UK-based creative development and IP studio Noodle & Caboodle Entertainment is to collaborate with Miami-based development outfit KaizenPop on new animated kids’ martial arts show Chuck Loris.
>
> **Rich Staplehurst**
>
> Created by Noodle & Caboodle chief creative officer Rich Staplehurst, the action-comedy is aimed at children aged eight to 12. It follows the adventures of a young slow loris called Chuck, who uses his martial arts skills to take on the criminal underworld.
>
> The project pairs an animated series with an interconnected game, conceived as a single world rather than an adaptation from one medium to another.
>
> Noodle & Caboodle will lead on creative, character design, narrative, scripting and wider brand extensions. KaizenPop, meanwhile, will co-develop across series, game and social media, while structuring the production and financial framework.
>
> Chuck Loris will also be part of KaizenPop’s IP incubator, KodaPop, as a title in its Creators Program.
>
> Former Moonbug executive Staplehurst launched Noodle & Caboodle in March, revealing its [inaugural slate of kids’ content](https://www.c21media.net/news/moonbug-alum-rich-staplehurst-rolls-out-new-kids-studio-noodle-caboodle-teases-slate/).
>
> Last month, the studio appointed [former Disney executive Jay Francis](https://www.c21media.net/news/noodle-caboodle-makes-ex-disney-exec-jay-francis-ip-and-acquisitions-advisor/) as an advisor, focused on original IP and acquisitions.
>
> Staplehurst said: “Chuck Loris has been built from the ground up as one world with huge transmedia potential from day one, and KaizenPop’s reach and community-building expertise make them the right partners to land it with the audience it was made for.”
