I was wondering what the difference was between the different branches? Is it just lineage disputes or is their a stylistic or technical difference?
There is a lot of variation between styles but there are 10 movements that all lineages share. Its how there put together that differs.

What are the ten movements? If you don’t feel like typeing alot(I never do) is there any good sites you can recommend on the subject? I have always had an interest in Choy Li Fut and would like to learn some about it.

Actually my father had met a Sifu in Canada who teaches a slight variation on the 10 elements. I forgot what the exact differences were but I remember only two or three of the ten elements were different from ours. My father has this Sifu’s name and the names of their 10 elements written in a notebook somewhere. When my father returns from Hong Kong, I’ll ask him.

What’s up dude? Well, I’ve decided to stay until after Christmas. So I should be leaving mid-January. Your Sifu is taking a trip to visit Hong Kong and the mainland for a couple of weeks. I believe he’ll be stopping by the Hung Sing Kwoon in China with Sifu Tat-Mau Wong. He’ll be back by the end of next week.

BTW, I didn’t get to see the fight but I read about it. I guess Sak was winning but Silva picked him up from a guillotine attempt and slammed Sak into the ring floor and dislocated his shoulder. Sak kept fighting, but the docs wouldn’t let him continue into the next round. I think they’re talking about a rematch.
