JKDC for all the flak she may catch here has my respect. Why because she tested herself against both women and men and has brought home the hardware to prove. Hell the whole idea of the THROWDOWNS was to see who was talk and who wasn’t. ---

Well, since there’s another thread about BSdo, I’D just like to congratulate them wholeheartedly. Just been there for the first time in a wee while and there’s a very mature thread about wing chun on the main forum… perhaps we could direct our very own backbiting b!tchin nitpickin chun forumites over there to show them how it should be done… even Omar who started out trolling chun as usual came out with something useful! Er, no, perhaps shouldn’t send them over… it would just degenerate into a bunch of unrealistic theoreticians bickering about lineage… again! ---

Bullshido right now is a balance between those that do actually train and fight and those that just ride the bandwagon. There have been threads on bullshido itself concerning this. I didn’t see JKDchick posting on the “how long in MA” thread. I didn’t see boyd or any number of the truely loudmouthed members post their experience in those terms. Yes, Bshdo, isn’t the BJJ nutriding site it used to be. But NO, it isn’t quite yet an impartial judge. And there are still people on that board making comments and judgements they aren’t qualified to make. There is nothing to stop the stereotypical strip mall, beer belly, mullet wearing, 2 year BB in x-brand MA invented in some guys back yard from ignoranty poo-pooing on another art they have never even seen first hand. ---

Actually we brought up that issue as well. Some arts really don’t need first hand exposure. I don’t have to train with Ashida Kim, Dux, or many others to know they suck. Still we have been making steps to improve the quality of the reveiws of styles and individuals. ---

Asia, actually if you’ll go check out the other thread - assuming you have’nt yet, you’ll see most of us are ok with bullshido, it’s just not our bag of tea, that’s all. Part of the problem with crossover is here you have a forum for kungfu and traditional guys, and the more weak minded individuals over at bullshido have got it in their heads that those two things equal crappy martial arts. ---
