Bruce Lee Chi Sao clip

As a chi sao player he was a great action movie personality!

now it makes sense

no wonder people who study jkd have no idea what chi sao is all about

well, he certainly is mixing in a few other things in there wiht his sticky hands. (kicks, lifting away, etc)

who’s the other guy?

That other guy is Taky Kimura. I can never watch too many clips of Bruce, he was the man.

"I want to share something with you – the three sentences that will get you through life. Number one, “Cover for me.” Number two, “Oh, good idea, boss!” Number three, “It was like that when I got here.” -Homer Simpson, THE SIMPSONS

hey you’re right that is taky with his “elvis” do.

he don’t sport that do no more.

Taky Kimura (Bruce’s partner)

In the video clip, I notice that Taky Kimura keeps retreating directly backwards. That’s why Bruce can keep on attacking him because he is always in Bruce’s “line of fire”. He should have stepped to the side then attack Bruce at an angle. It would have been interesting to see how Bruce would react to an attack.

-----------------------------Depending on the kind of sticking folks practise…kicking and lifting can be part of it—if they have agreed to work on it. But thats not what’s wrong with the chi sao- the distancing and the elbow controls and the footwork are not top flight.Ah well- its better than the Joe Lewis and the other karateka who were around at the time.
