Bay area Martial artists i need your help

I am thinking about relocating to the Bay area. if i do i will be working in Palo Alto. i was hoping someone might be able to help me find out what the cost of living is out there. like what does a 1 bedroom apartment in a deicent area close to palo alto go for or where are the best areas to commute from, what is the avarage drive time any information would be greatly appreciated

quan, it is getting pretty expensive to live here in the bay area. especially in palo alto. it you are making good money, then you can do it. just do think too big.

in daly city where i stay, i pay for a decent 1 bdrm apart $765. but average rent is anywhere from
$900-1,500 a month. you may have to look for a roommate for the time being.

do you know in san franisco an area called park merced a 3 bedroom apartment costs $3,500 a month.
unless you are bill gates, good luck.

you may want to go further north on the penninsula to find cheaper rent, and sometimes you may find a
less expensive “in-law” type apartment.

thanks for your help, its still up in the air but i might just be hedding that way, how far is to far to commute drive time wise? i study hung gar and im looking forward to the oppertunity to be that close to chinatown and so many great martial artists thanks again

Wing Lam is in sunnyvale. Thats about 5 minutes away. I believe he does hung gar too.

Thanks for the help, that sounds great i have been to SF 4 times never with enough time to really see china town right.My Sigung is Y.C. Wongs class mate Buck Sam Kong. i will definately let you know if im going to be heading that way it would be great to visit him,
Sifu Abel, i am looking forward to meeting all the amazing martial artist in the area i have been fortunate enough to breifly meet a couple of Sifu Wing Lams students, all great guys and i look forward to getting to know some good people if infact i do relocate. its a big maybe right now im waiting to see if i get the promotion but if i do its P.A. hear i come.
