My girlfriend is vaguely interested in a trip to iceland sometime.
Any ideas for cheap tickets or package deals?

Hmm not really, it’s pretty **** expensive flying over here, at least i was looking into what a ticket to L.A. would cost me because of the whole training thing i wanna do this summer, and they told me 1200$ which i thought was BS.
Really wish i could be of more help but i’m not really that good with the whole tourist thing here, but Icelandair is the main airline for iceland (www.icelandair.com). But she would definetly want some package deal because getting around Iceland not knowing where your going i can imagine it’s very hard, going into some offroads to reach the glaciers and such.
Sorry i wish i could be of more help but i’m not very educat ed in these things.All i can tell you is that Iceland is a very expensive country, especially when it comes to alcohol (sixpack of beer is about 10-12$) and more things like that

I was looking into Iceland myself recently.
If you go to Icelandair.com they have some package deals and whatnot. I think most if not all of the packages they have are listed with prices for East coast. So it probably wouldn’t be that bad for you since you are in DC, according to your profile at least.
