ATTN: Knifefighter

Hey Knifefighter,
I was at Chris’ submission tourney this past saturday and was wondering what you thought of the competition and especially Chris’ top students whom you got to roll with? BTW, I haven’t been able to train for the last few months because of work and some stuff going on with my personal life but that tourney has really sarted getting the fires burning again.-ED

Good luck with your training, Ed. Work sux!

If I see Knifefighter tonight at class I’ll mention your post to him.

Thanks Mojo, that would be great. Hey since you know Knifefighter, do you know Glenn Ro too? He also trains at Caique’s.

Ford,
Yeah man tell me about it, I just had my schedule changed though this week. Instead of working from 10-7PM, I’ll be working 8-5PM again.

How’s your training going?-ED

As a white belt I don’t train much with the colored belts and so don’t know many of their names but I think I do know Glen. He’s about 5’7" with short hair, right ?

Mojo,
Yeah that sounds like him, short black hair, 5’7" or so and Korean. He is also a white belt and a wing chun guy.-ED

OK, now I know who you’re talking about. He was at last nights class.

Gin Sue:
Chris’s tournament, as usual, was great. There are always some really talented grapplers who show up. His guys are **** good. I’ve been watching Bao’s matches for a while now and he always impresses me. It was the first time I had seen Jeremy compete and I was really impressed by his stuff too. Chris has done a great job with all of his guys and their triangle work is sick. I will definitely be working on my triangle defenses before his next tourney.

it was a sweet touney! my first time seeing bjj action live! enjoyed it very much! jeremy was great from the guard! nice to see you ginsue and knife! lates.

Knifefighter,
How often do you work out? I have never seen anyone as fit as you before. You made a lot of the guys at the tourney look flappy.

Was there anything that surprized you or impressed you that you normally wouldn’t expect to see? Just trying to get a feeling on the differences that you have noticed between gi guys and no gi guys in competition at the higher levels. Good luck at the next tourney.-ED
