Am i the only meat eater!?!?

I’ve found myself in this situation my entire life and i just recently found out i’m not alone (when big tom said on survivor “I’m a meat eater, i dont eat sallad that’s for women, i eat meat” i was happy to know i’m not alone).

So how is it? Are there any more meat eaters out there? I’ve tried time and time again to eat veggies but they just discust me, i can eat corn, and i can eat potatoes and propably a couple more. But cucumber, onion and what not is all uneatable to me, if it’s sliced up REAL fine so i dont ahve to feel it crunch under my teeth that’s fine, or if someone put a leaf of sallad in between my juice burger that’s ok. But eating veggies just creeps me out (this mihgt have something to do with my gramps having the same philosophy and starting to feed me pork chops at the age of 6 months old (and i ate them like hell too)).

AM I ALONE?!?! And also is it really VERY unhealthy to eat a lot of meat if you work out a lot to turn it into something else then fat?

health wise, moderation is always good practise  although with genetic engineering these days. You a hax0r ? What is it you target, unix ?

I eat few veggies and fruit.

Iceburg lettuce
green peppers
onions
corn
green beans

fruit:
apples
grape
watermelon
plums
peaches

Thats about it. I can stand some other veggies and fruits if forced to though.

Oh, for a moment I thought I was gonna get a chance to get on my soapbox and tell all the vegans off. I think the bad thing about your diet is that there are alot of vitamins, and minerals, and trace elements that you need in your diet which cannot be provided by a meat only regimen. Also, you need fiber in your diet to pass fecal matter through. Meat putrifies in the colon, and gets lodged and trapped in some of the areas, but a diet rich in fiber allows it to pass. There could be alot of problems linked to this, but you would have to ask an expert. You might want to look into taking a fiber suplement like consul, which is psylliun seed husk powder. Take it in a glass of juice (I use Tang, I also use Tang to mix creatine with, Tang rulz) You will be surprised what comes outta ya the next day (we’re talkin yard long dookie from hell!)

Everyone has a different opinion on nutrition, but I guess balance makes sense. I used to be similar to you - hated vegetables - but now I love them and have a slightly more balanced diet. Still eat more meat than I feel I should though

Most people eat meat…

I eat all kinds of stuff

Some time my brother called me “decompositor”, you know, like those bacteries.

I know most people eat meat my poitn was who prefers to eat ONLY meat (as in not eating veggies).

I love fruits though, dont eat them very often but they are tasty as hell.

If you asked me this 10-15 years ago, I would have said yes. Back then I would have preferred an all-meat diet. Now I am different.

mmmm meat just tastes so good, i could grab a porkchop now and chew on it with this sweet can of coke.

actually, if you havent eaten meat before, or havent eaten for a very long time, the taste of meat can be extremely pungeant.
But there is no need for you to refrain from meat, so I doubt you will ever find a need to understand it.

Meat-

There are two questions. One is whether “pure meat” is bad for you. The other is whether modern meat is bad for you. I don’t know how it is in Iceland, but in the US cattle are filled with hormones, drugs, fed dead animals, sawdust, etc… Clearly this crap is not good for you. As far as “pure meat” (organic,) many would say that its also not good for humans- based on the length of our digestive tract, type of teeth, … A good book to read is “mad cowboy” about what goes into the different food animals we eat, at least in the US. Also, I believe that in Chinese medicine beef is considered to be the unhealthiest of the meats, but I read elsewhere that chicken/fowl is. Eating alot of fruit (but not for at least 2-3 hours after eating meat) can help to counterbalance- fruit is best eaten alone on an empty stomach in the morning- it cleanses the digestive tract. I also read recently that figs are very good for people who eat alot of meat as it helps adjust the acid/alkiline balance.

I used to be a total carnivore, or meativore as some put it. But once I started working out at a gym I found that my body just rebelled and demanded other sources of nutrition.

I never believed my mother when she said that one day I’d crave broccoli & cauliflower, but she was right :frowning:

But I will always take half cooked bloody meat over veggies. Everytime. Always. 100%.

I had a bloody steak last night (my wife likes her steak bloody, & she cooks so I take it as it’s given) and I noticed that the blood mixed with the mashed potato. Strangely enough, the taste was disturbingly good. I like blood pudding (on toast, yum!) but I never thought that blood & mashed potatoes would go together.

Go figure…

since i have moved out of home etc and work study has taken out a huge chunk in my time i have found i don’t eat as much veggies as i used to or fruit
so to make up for it i take vitamin and mineral supplements

does anyone have any opinions on this?
what about taking calcium supplements isn’t there a problem with that?

btw do u know veggies really make your stomach work pretty hard?? hehe i thought it was the other way around but was i way wrong

mmm straight blast bloody meat is the best, as long as it’s not dripping.

I love meat! I get hungry when a animal runs infront of me.. I just picture myself eating the flesh right of the bones of that poor little dog/cat/tiger/bear whatever. And Im serious here, no kidding. Meat is neat!!

For the past 6 months I’ve been following what I was told/read was a taoist way of eating. I don’t mix protein and carbs in the same meal (also try to eat raw veggies/fruit daily). Apparently, the body has trouble adjusting it’s acids to digest protein AND carbs, so eating both ends up clogging the digestive tract/colon. On occasion I’ll go the protein route, but most often I eat some kind of pasta, bread or potatos.
I’m trying to give up dairy…but cheese is the sweet frozen sunshine of the gods. :frowning:
