Book

I believe someone mentioned this book not too long ago. "Dynamic Strength" by Harry Wong is an excellent book that might be what you're looking for. Give it a shot, I believe it's only like $6 or $7. --FSY

Does your gym have

a heavy bag? If so, that is a great conditioning tool. If not, you may want to look into getting one. There are free-standing models available now so you don't even have to have a place to hang it. Check out theDragon Studios martial arts supply store for an idea of what is available.

If you have the will...

then Tae Bo is the way!

You won't lose much if you go only halfway, but you won't win much either.

Find a cheap barbell bar. You can do all sorts of staff sets or use it as a weight to do double arm drills. You can roll it up and down your forearms while in a good stance to condition both your arms and your stance. A curling bar is nice for punching as you have more variety of where to hold but a straight bar is likely cheaper and allows more conditioning methods. You might even find one of these somewhere "free" as everyone and their dog seems to have had one.

My patented "At Home Workout"

1. Lunges everywhere you go in the house
2. 20-50 push ups or sit ups with every new room you enter
3. 100 frog jumps durring commercials
4. Horse stance in the shower and while brushing teeth.
5. Superman's or leg lifts while watching the tube.
6. Wrestle with dog/ brother/ pizza delivery guy.
7. Kick cabinets shut, shut off light switches by slowly bringing your leg up and gingerly switching it off.
good night

Great workout, 8step

but what happens if you're giving a tour of your house to your guests? won't they wonder what the hell are you doing, if you jump to the floor and start to do pushups every time you enter a new room? not to mention switching the light on with your foot..

Excellent

Hey, man. Either one of these will take you to a whole other level in conditioning and give you the tools to keep going.

This http://www.webfects.com/hea/routine.htm is a link to free routines by a former Navy Diver and current Navy fitness instructor that only requires your bodyweight. He'll be coming out with video tapes in the next few weeks.

Also check http://mattfurey.com for a site that you can get an excellent book or videos on conditioning with only using your bodyweight. I actually use a hybrid routine of the two.

If you want to add more resistance, then making a sand bag would be an extremely cheap option. ($25)
Check out http://home.rmi.net/~ian21/Sandbagbasics101.html for directions on how to make a reliabel sand bag and exercises you can do with one.
