The Power

If anyone is like a master and watched Fist of Legends, read this. During the scene when Cheng Su faced his girlfriend's uncle, the uncle showed Cheng that he can chop a leaf in half. Can any martial artist chop a leaf in half.

first you start with breaking twig, once mastered,
you can move to the art of slicing grass, practice every day, and pay close attention to your stance, train hard for 100 days, only after that, will you be ready for final stage chopping leaf.
be sure to find a skilled master, its not wise to practice this on your own.

Splitting leaves

There are various levels:
1. Hand
2. finger
3. breath
4. qi
5. qi power from a distance (over 20 feet)

The first 2 are easy. Toronto mantis is correct, the last 3 are difficult and dangerous.
