Houtian Baguazhang (straight-line forms)
Second Line: Kan (striking techniques) Forms 1-4
Emphasis on forms, body training and fighting applications.

Xiantian Baguazhang (circle forms)
Wu Long Bai Wei (Black Dragon Swings Tail) –This flowing form is an important circle walking practice of Gao style Baguazhang. The forms, along with concepts of practice and their use, will be covered.

Sun., July 20:

Houtian Baguazhang (straight-line forms)
Second Line: Kan (striking techniques) Forms 5-8
Emphasis on forms, body training and fighting applications.

Hebei Xingyiquan
3 of the 12 animals of Xingyi: Monkey, Bear and Snake
Forms, concepts and fighting applications will be covered.

Cost: $225/weekend or $125 for one day, paid in advance.

Master Luo De Xiu has been practicing and teaching the internal martial arts of Gao Style Baguazhang and Hebei Xingyiquan for over 35 years. Master Luo received his fundamental training from Zhang Zhunfeng's student Hong YiXiang. Zhang Zhunfeng studied directly from the originator of Gao Style Baguazhang, Gao Yisheng. Master Luo went on to study with many of Zhang's other students, including Hong Yiwen and Hong Yimien. Luo also studied with Sun Xikun's student, Liu Qian.

Master Luo's years of research into the theory and teaching of the internal arts, as well as his experience in many full-contact competitions gives him the ability to explain internal theory, proper body mechanics and fighting theory in a way that is clear and easy to understand.
