Has anybody here been to a Tommy Carruthers seminar?

Just wondering what your experience was, cause to me this guy is pretty wicked :)

The object is not to hurt someone else, but to stop them from hurting you

Re:

I'm not sure what you mean with "wicked" but I organzied and attended one with him. He is one of the most well-trained martial artists I have experienced, and besides, he got a very realistic attitude to combat, based on many experiences.

One of his long-time students about a chance to attend a seminar:
"Regarding the upcoming seminar in Canada, I would strongly advise anyone interested in seeing Bruce's art portrayed by an individual with exceptional abilities to attend this. Sifu Carruthers is one of few people who know the methodologies behind Bruce's teachings and can actually APPLY REALISTICALLY!! As a teacher of the art, he can bring out the trueness in each student, of which he has many who can also apply this unique knowledge- thus showing that the art is applicable to individuals who can make it "specifically their own". Anyway, if you get the chance to absorb some of Sifu Carruthers wisdom, jump at it.
Regards, BC"

I've seen this guy and in my opinion he does not do jkd, maybe more of something flashy for the movies. All the demos with him are not real life situation and do not come close to jkd. Here is a link where you can some vidoe clips

Re:

Hahahaha, who are you that you can downgrade the hard earned reputation of real martial artists?

Read this text (by Jesse R. Glover):

By the way, don't forget to tell us about the date and location you met TC for real besides watching altogether 5 minutes of video stuff at your computer...
