Hsing Yi vs. Wing Chun video
http://neurology.med.upenn.edu/%7Eja...s.WingChun.mov
I can't tell who's who though! I think it's the one in the black, his stance is San Ti, and he is using crushing fist (and drilling fist from pi quan to defend) the whole time. Last edited by Apostol; 07-07-2004 at 09:51 PM. |

The guy in Black is the Black Taoist, using Beng Quan. The other guy is a San Da Player. That's a San Da match.
Check the original source here: http://www.blacktaoist.com/Beng%20applic.html

Yep, watch it again, and just focus on the feet and stepping. That is driving his body mass. Then notice his strikes are coordinated with his steps, which really adds the mass of power to the strikes. Cool vid.

What Felipe said. Bt had good disciplined Xingyi footwork.
I really liked how he "stole" his opponents space. He gave his opponent nothing to work with, he got him going backward and shut him down. That thar is Xingyi boys. Kept his "harmonies" in line, and they served him well. |

That was a nice knockdown. Block the other guys right, and twisting quickly to finish. That was done smooth.
