Save the Drama

I have been checking out other styles of CMA, just to see what is right for me. One thing that I find unique about Songshan Shaolin is the melodramatic anomocity among monks and former monks. For example, LiPeng his having this Tournament in July. Why aren't the other (ex)monks in NY supportive of him. As far as I can tell, only Guolin is participating. What about YanMing and HengXin? What is the deal? The shoalin community should be bonding together--supporting one another, not tearing itself apart. Is this just a NY thing? I don't think it is.

Why does it have to be this way?

Tough to say but IMHO...... it probably stems back to greed and insecurity. If there students go and see how good/great the other monks are they may feel they will lose students.
