Dont rip them open... let them subside by themselves. Once they "deflate" you can then leave them be. After that, the area should be ready for more action (and stronger usually). If you start to get one but MUST practice for some reason try wrapping some atheletic tape around the affected area to shield it.

Yeah, definitely don't pop them. If they pop on their own, make sure you keep it clean to avoid infection, and keep it covered when training. Otherwise let it air and it will heal quicker.
