Good WingTsun/Chun websites/forums?

Hi all

I was just wondering if there was any other good WingTsun/Chun/etc websites out there. Im especially interested in other forums as it's always good to hear more peoples oppinions and views!

Here is one that I like alot, it's in german so I use babelfish to make atleast a little sense out of it

http://babelfish.altavista.com/urltr...p=de_en&tt=url

or in german if you don't want it translated to english http://www.wt4um.de/phpbb/index.php

I know this is the opposite of what you were asking, but the following site...

http://www.vingtsun.com.hk

should be avoided at all costs. More than any other place I've seen, it's a running slanderfest.

Having got that out of the way,

You should try the Wing Chun Mailing List at

http://www.wingchunkuen.com/community/wcml/index.shtml

It's not a forum per se, but you will have access to many WC practicioners around the world in mailing list format.

Hi Levi,

You are right about the unfortunate state of the VTAA forum---the victim of overzealous trolls, but the website itself is very good.

An Internet search for Wing Chun will reveal many sites, most of which are sincerely representative of their particular view of the art.

Regards,

Ahh, but you have to admit the entertainment value is worth the price of admission. Some of that stuff is so out of control, it's hilarious.

Rene's www.wingchunkuen.com is one of the better ones.

Regarding the VTAA forum, there's some real garbage on there, but there's also a reasonably funny post on the first page where someone has imp'ed red5angel, a spinoff on one of his longer and more self-laudatory posts.

Grendel - thanks for the correction. You are right. The forum is not so great, but the rest of the site does have useful and interesting information.

gnugear - It's all fun and games until someone get's hurt... I got whiplash shaking my head in disbelief and some of the stuff on there.

Yeah that other forum is nuts.
But it can be quite funny:

All the trolls cant speak English very well and make some pretty F***ed up sentences that crack me up.

They use the word `fake`/`fraud` a billion times in one paragraph.

They insult well known Wing Chun guys on the forum who arent afraid to use their real name like Rene R. and give them threats but even when probed never even come close to giving their own real names or branch of WC.

They have so much anger in them that I dont know how they can relax during SNT.

you know that they cant be any good at WC to hold so much resentment towards other people. The people who are really good dont bother slandering others and dont take offense at what others say.

They think that their sifu was the only one to learn the secret dim mak techniques from Yip Man. When they do say who their Sifu is it is often some one you have never heard of.

They think every thing is a conspiricy against their WC school or sifu and accuse famous WC people like RR, Robert Chu and others of working together towards some sinister plot.

They honestly believe that non Yip Man lineages have been created out of thin air by frauds, out to make money.

Sometimes you just got to laugh at it.
