Which is the better city to learn some decent kung fu?
Hi everybody,
soon I will be going to China for approximately a year. Currently it looks like I can choose between Fuzhou, Yangshou and Pudong, Shanghai. Which of these cities would be better in terms of styles available, foreign students accepted or not and quality of instruction? Of course I am not expecting information on specific instructors (although if someone knows/ has heard of a good one, even better), just some general opinions on this. Will be thankful for help here, sine I have a hard time choosing between those cities. |

City actually matters if you are looking for a specific style. Do you at least have an idea what style you want to learn?

I was thinking of Praying Mantis, however I am afraid I won't be able to find a school with this style when I come back.

If you want northern mantis you need to go to shandong province, qingdao or yantai.
fujian province also has a lot of kung fu - southern mantis, white crane, ziranmen etc. i dont think yangshuo has much except a couple of tai chi schools for westerners if you have any questions you can PM me |
