I think some members of the International Hoplology Society have documented their training in Malaysia. The guys in the book written by Draeger are still pretty active. Check out the IHS's homepage if you're interested in any documentation.

A different inquiry on the subject of Chuka Shaolin

I was wondering if anyone who is extremely educated in the Chuka Shaolin Phoenix Eye Fist Kung Fu would be interested in sending me information on it? I will be obtaining a copy of Cheong Cheng Leong' s book, but wish to know more about current teachings or students of the art. In particular if it is being taught anywhere in the world today, and in what manners (ie: partly used/taught in a Kung Fu school)
This information will possibly be used by myself in a manuscript and I would like the most possible accuracy before I can write it.
Thanks
Desiree

I have a copy of the book you mentioned, excellent! It goes into the history of Chuka Shaolin and teaches a couple of short forms. Worth getting!

Hi folks,

Just in case you didn't know, GM Cheong is appearing in this September's gathering in Sarawak.

Will be meeting him again next week in Penang and I hope to get him to conduct a workshop on his style of Chu Gar.

Warmest Regards.

Eric
