Justa Man.

You don't find them.

You either:
1.) Create them
2.) Crop and cut a larger one down to size.
3.) Resize a larger one.

Both my current and last Avatar were created from Screen Wallpapers that I cropped and shrunk using Irfaniew.

But than there are a lot of Icon and Web-Graphics site that might over some good ones as well.

Go to:

www.irfanview.com

and download.

Decent program, written in my hometown by a UNI Student.

I hardly use Software coming from the States, most is European or Japanese.
Cheap(mostly free), reliable and gets the work done.

IrfanView ought to work. I have it and I'm pretty sure I used it to do some editing on the image I've got as my avatar. I found it somewhere on the web, but needed to cut it down (and I wanted to rotate it).

I believe that right now there's some problem with changing avatars, as in no one can. They're probably working on it, it's been brought up in another thread. Unless it's already been fixed...
I edited my avatar down using a program (free with advertising) called ACDSee. It works...fantastically. I use it for some things that Microsoft's PictureIt! won't handle well also.

Yep, there seems to be a prob with changing avatars.

Tried mine, but it failed to show up in my Profile.

For the Guys creating Avatars:
As long as your Image is
less than 50x50 pixels,
in .gif or .jpg Format
and I think less than 50kb in size

you should be Ok once the mods have it fixed.

Actually the problem is only when you try to upload the avatar. If you upload it to another server, and then specify a link to the avatar the site loads it fine. For instance, you can see my avatar at http://www.alaskatech.com/av5.gif

When I linked to this, the site updated it no problem.
