Truly sorry to hear about your teachers passing...sounds like she was provided a very thoughtful and loving memorial. We can all only hope for as much...
Good to hear about your business though, especially in these economic times.
We've had a bit of the liquid sunshine here the past few days, but other than that its been relatively springy out.
After 3 slow years my business is finally picking back up again! But that means less time for taijiquan for several years into the future... I thought.
Then my instructor passed away suddenly - who had been in robust good health until right that minute - and my whole taiji world turned around 180 degrees and started back down the road I had just traveled.
Now I instruct the nite class myself, and come to the day class to take the 32 from my (previous) instructor's Sifu. We had a very nice memorial to her Wednesday with both day classes and the nite class too... maybe 50 taiji people in total. Not a dry eye anywhere.... folks getting up and speaking about her was about 2 hours almost.
And how is lovely Oregon????? This is the first time I have envied your winter weather I must say...
I've been resizing down some penjing photo's to try, but in that small a photo - the background gets confusing. I'm thinking of setting one on a white sheet to photo and see if that will work.
How have you been? And, we have rain now after 2 dry years, so our weather is suddenly in the '80s and down to '70s at nite very nice, but humid and sticky....
Ah no Lucas..... I've been on a few other forums and had to learn how to resize wayyyyy downward to post photos, and avatar's are at the bottom of that. So no problem there, but thanks for offering! Not many guys my age can do that with 'puters nowadays... except those on forums!! And thanks for the encouragement!
What I have to do is decide to put in the effort to photo one in such a way as that it will fit the frame when resized. Not an easy thing to do with these little photos - so probabably I'm looking at have to shoot a little tree, not a big one... well, my little trees don't look as good as my big ones, etc....
that would be a cool avatar! i know that there are specific dimension requirements for the avatar itself. if you have a full size photo but need it smaller, let me know, i can resize it accordingly for you if you arent familiar with how to do that.
