I have a question, my stepfather has a video that demonstrates 8 Tai Chi forms that would take you 30 minutes to do. Would it be healthy if you learn from the video and just do those 8 forms each day? I don't plan on using Tai Chi for anything other than health benefits and was wondering if it is possible to learn Tai Chi from the video.

I'd say no, you shouldn't learn soley from a video, especially in the beginning when you have no prior taiji experience. You really need a teacher to get it right.
But if all you want to do is learn a form you can run a couple times before you go to bed, I don't see why not.

Cool, thanks. I'd seek out an instructor to learn from, but every school is like a half hour away from me, or more. The only school that is close to me that does internal is that John Painter guy, and given what I've seen, I wouldn't want to learn from him. I am busy enough as it is with school, work and now I plan on starting Wing Tsun.
