Fellow mantis practitioners, I was wondering if you wear traditional chinese uniforms at training.
My sifu has introduced green tights (like the stuff they wear for ballet but green) so that we look more like mantis and give us the inspiration to act like one.

I've never heard of Green Mantis. Being of the curious type, what is the lineage of the style?. Do you have a web site.??? /infopop/emoticons/icon_rolleyes.gif

Nobody does that except for Peter Pan. No one has heard of Green Mantis or anything as wacky as this, maybe it's time to check out the Karate school down the block.

I must say I agree with all the other possters on this one.....wearing green tights to make you look like a mantis? whats next? breaking your arms so you can fold them back, just like a mantis? This *definitely* sounds weird. As for my kwoon, i am in the beginners class, so we still wear usual workout clothes, but sifu is slowly getting us to wear traditional nothern kungfu uniforms, in school colors of course.

1) Do not bend over if you drop your weapon on to the floor during practise,
2) Do not accept any back rubs from your teacher,
Green tights?! You may as well wear green bikini thongs. It is time to move on...
