Shaolin Martial Arts (not to be confused with Martial Arts of Shaolin) (1974).

Pedicab Driver (1989).

Master Killer (1978).

The Victim (1979).

Drunken Master II (1994).

The Kid From Kwangtung (1982).

Prodigal Son (1981).

Shaolin Challenges Ninja (Heroes of the East) (1978).

Executioner From Shaolin (1977).

Wheels on Meals (1984).

Mine are listed in no particular order, but my favorite IS Shaolin Martial Arts...this movie not only introduced Gordon Liu, Leung Ka-Yan and Wong Lung-Wei, but as far as I know, was the first to have extended training sequences, and influenced later kung fu films as far as that goes.

Sorry ish

but Romeo must Die sucks, well atleast in my opinion definately no where near Jet Li's best
too much wire tricks, and the x-ray scenes were corny. the best part of the movie was the fat wanna be bodyguard that always got his ass kicked.

more must see flicks

Shanghai Affairs- Donnie Yen and the guy who played Iron Monkey

Barefoot Kid- Ti Lung

Blade of Fury- Ti Lung/Sammo Hung

Sam the Pron/Iron Bridge

KickBoxer- Yuen Biao

Warriors2- Sammo

Martial Club- Gordon Lui

Legend of the Wolf- Donnie Yen

Legend of Drunken Tiger

One Arm Hero

East is Red- Bridgette Lin

Yes Madaam- Cynthia Rothrock and Michele Yeow

believe it or not Georgeous is good one

Not sure of any names but its a very amusing film. theres this blind master whos got this gilletine thing and he has to avenge the death of his two students. he surches for the one armed boxer walking about but never bumps into anything.
worth watching if you can

RENEGADE_MONK

Sounds like an old Sam Seed movie!!...

If you haven't seen this one check out "Great Hero from China"....not to be confused with Jet Li's

"Last Hero from China"

Jimbo

Ish,
For the record, there is at least one Jet Li movie that I think is worse than Romeo Must Die, and that is Born To Defense. It's an older late '80s movie and IMO it just sucked.

Sounds like the movie with the blind guy is Master of the Flying Guillotine. It stars Jimmy Wany Yu, and the blind evil monk is played by Kam Kang. This film also has an "Indian Yogi" whose arms grow super long. :)

It stars Jimmy Wang Yu, it's a pretty good flick, it's really violent, but I liked it!

Well pooh. I hated "Romeo Must Die" and liked "Born to Defense." I mean, it's no "Fist of Legend" or "Tai Chi Master" but I like it.

And there's a bunch of movies I'd have liked a lot more if I'd actually been able to see them, and not just the middle third of the screen.

LETTERBOX, GOD****IT!

What's everybody's favorite Jet Li movie? Mine is the one directed by Liu Jia Liang Martial Arts of Shaolin. I think its the 3rd movie of the Shaolin series that stars Jet Li. I liked it because it didnt have alot of wire work. I think Jet looks better without the wire stuff. Also, his fight scenes didnt look like 2 man wushu fighting forms.

Black_Talon

My favorite Jet Li movie, thats a hard one he's been in so many quilty flicks, but I'd have to say that The Legend or Once Upon a Time in China are his two best films

The Legend? Is that the pathetically *******ized Americanized version of Fong Sai Yuk?

Fave Jet movie: There are so many good ones it's so hard to call...my personal faves are:

Shaolin Temple
Tai-Chi Master
Bodyguard from Beijing
High Risk
Once Upon a Time in China 1 and 2
New Legend of SHaolin
My Father is a Hero

I even like The Master and Kung-Fu Cult Master. And I did like Born to Defense also. I'm not particularly fond of Hitman.

Amitabha!

We are trained in wushu; we must protect the Temple!

Something to think about: What if Liu Jia Liang was the fight choreographer for Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon, and he used some of the actors and actresses from his old movies (Liu Jia Hui, Wang Long Wei,Hui Ying Hung,) in cameo appearances???? How different would the movie be?

I am having a hard time here. I have not seen many KF movies, but I have seen several that are making many of your lists and I really didn't like them.
Even movies I liked as a child (back in the Blackbelt Theater days)were painful to watch as an adult.

I used to love Five Deadly Venoms. Watched it now and thought it was really dumb.

I rented Taichi Master I and II. Hated them.

I rented Once Upon a Time in China. Not a fan.

Rented Green Hornet. Torture to watch.

I don't enjoy Bruce Lee's movies anymore.

So what did I like?
Of Jet Li's movies: Fist of Legend and Leathal Weapon IV

Of Chan's movies? I like every one I have seen (mostly the newer ones) NO WIRES=COOL

What wire movies did I like? Crouching Tiger (I thought the wirework fit in with the mythos of the setting) and The Matrix (once again in that context wires made sense).

Seagal was OK in Above the Law and both Under Siege I and II.

I liked Brandon Lee in Rapid Fire and The Crow.

I don't get mad.
I get stabby.

RENEGADE_MONK

I can agree,

I used to love the 5 venoms, and kid with the golden arm, but watching them now makes me cringe.

Some of the all time best movies are Sammo's production

Prodigal Son

The Victim- the fight scene towards the end against a mantis guy was well done.

You said you haven't seen many KF films, if you like i can email my complete list...of minus venoms and alot of the black belt theatre ones

So far I was able to please the toughest critics with my choices

:)

Why cringe-ish? What do you dislike that you used to like?~ (not merely RENEGADE MONK).

Very some such, perhaps might have been, likely say some, some not.

Let's see, this is not in any particular order:
Shoalin Master Killer

Tai Chi Master (Twin Warriors)
Iron Monkey
Drunken Master 2
Prodigal Son
Blade Of Fury
Magnificent Butcher

1. Master Killer
2. Five Deadly Venoms
3. Mystery of Chess Boxing
4. Return of the Dragon
5. Eight Diagram Pole Fighters
6. Snake and Crane: Arts of Shaolin
7. Shaolin vs. Wu-Tang
8. Fist of Legend
9. Ten Tigers From Kwantung
10. Shaolin Challenges Ninja

Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon would definitely be at the top of this list, but I consider it more than a martial arts movie. Anyway, my top ten change all of the time.
