The Ying Hung Martial Arts Association will be conducting a 8 hour workshop on Saturday March 8th, 2008 at the school, located in Oakland, California. The workshop will be covering the fighting form "Locking Hands Fist", which is one of the core fighting sets within the Eight Immortals system.
The Eight Immortals Style is taught in three stages: 1) fighting technique, 2) drunken shape, 3) inner development.
The Locking Hands Fist technique features the "Cup Hand" or Drunken Claw along with the Phoenix Fist, Whipping Fist, Pressing Fist as well as our bridge.
This set also deals with various usages of the "Cup Hand" along with various holds, locks and controlling techniques.
If you ever wondered about real Eight Immortals Boxing here's your chance to see its power and dexterity up close and personal.
As some of you may know Sifu Troy have stopped teaching this system, so this is truly a treat for those speculators out there and true seekers of real Eight Immortals Kung Fu, not only will Sifu Troy Dunwood be conducting the workshop but his Si-Hing Man Sing will also be present for the event.
Sifu Troy is the last student of Grand Master Lau Yee Chan, the direct family inheritor of the Eight Immortals Style, don't miss your chance to train with the man, space is limited so reserve your space now.
There will be no certificates given at the completion of workshop but Sifu will be hosting a banquet style dinner for all participants at the conclusion in Oakland Chinatown. See you there!!!
