Perhaps elbow strikes are covered by the catch-all "Dirty tactics", which ends in the all-encompassing "etc."

I am the co-ordinator, the promoter is Ed Hsu. So I'm waiting on him for registration forms and for his site to set up online registration. I believe the pre-registration will be around $55

ILLEGAL TECHNIQUES
1) Striking the back of the head
Could you include this for next time?
6) Any joint attack including neck locks
This means no armbars, right?
Lastly: Are the gloves the huge boxing gloves or the open fingered mma/grappling kind?
Thanx

If you read the rules that have been posted a few times now :p you will see that elbow strikes are not specifically mentioned, and plowing is legal. Here they are again. Note #8 in the Legal Techniques section:

Some of us surmise that elbow strikes may fall under "Dirty tactis", due to the use of the word "etc." at the end.

It's really not that hard. Elbows are illegal in most amateur combat sports (mma included). Standard glove size for Sanshou is 10-12 oz.

The fact that they are banned in MMA just means they are not effective techniques in real fights. :D
