Master Law Man Pui when he was young he joined the army (12#tele communication team) to fight with the Japanese . After war he came to Guangzhou and work inside a restaurant and learned the Hung-head,Choy-tail the southern martial art. then he went to Hong Kong and learned under grandmaster Wong Hon Fan for Mantis and grandmaster Lau Fat Man for eagle claws. In 1956 he went to malaysia where he taught for 4 years before he came back to Hong Kong. He opened his own school in North Point afterward to shek Auo. Again he went to Kwan Tao and taught for 2 years and came back to Hong Kong again in 1974,few years later he went to USA. He had passed away already. He is a very nice guy and I know him personnaly. Why you want to know his story?

thanks for the info.

Am a practitioner and researcher of the Eagle Claw System. His name was passed on to me.

Also wanted to see if anyone could share/describe the Eagle Claw material that they had learned and to be added to the "Eagle Claw Kung Fu Society - World Directory". www.eagleclawkungfusociety.20m.com

I did find some info and a small photo on this site:

thank you for sharing such a rare original manuscript.

There was a book published but it did not have a very large run so there are few copies that exist today. Here is the cover of the book.

If you want I can scan it for you, let me know by e-mail

I never got the opportunity to meet late Master Lo Man Bil in person but many of my sihings did. By all accounts, he was a very humble and nice man. Before my Sifu began teaching, he used to travel to Boston to perform with Master Lo's school. Master Lo also encouraged and supported my Sifu to open his own school here in NYC. During the first few years after Sifu began teaching, some of Master Lo's students would also come to NY to participate in our school's performances. There are pictures of Sifu with Master Lo Man Bil on our website in the Biography page.

謝永銘師伯,

It is an honor and pleasure to be in contact with you. I am very aware of who you are since Sifu has spoken many many times over the years about you and your training experiences together. I am pretty sure I have copies of all your published books on Taichi Tanglang and Sifu has given me copies of many if not all of your published magazine articles in HK.

Sifu is doing very well and we just celebrated our 25th anniversary on May 19 with a big performance/dinner party here in NYC.

Thank you for posting all the videos of our style on Youtube. I am glad to see 源汶湝師伯公 is doing well and still actively teaching. I was fortunate to meet and train with him in Hong Kong back in 2001. Please pass on my regards to him as well.

Respectfully,

Vance Young

Hi Vance:
Oh you know me now Ha Ha. Yes your 源汶湝師伯公( Yuen Man Kai) is 68 years old and he still practice at least 10 forms everyday! I meet him in Kowloon Park every sunday. Hope to see your sifu Tony soon in Hong Kong.

I studied briefly with Lo Man Biu when I was a kid. I was sad to hear of his passing. Is there anyone in Massachusetts teaching his styles? Any info would be appreciated.
