Just a thread to say "hello" :)
I am new to the forum and new to WC.
After having practiced KF Wushu for a couple of years I now plan to start Wing Chun on Sunday... :)
really enthusiastic at the idea of joining the class (I have already viewed a few videos by Sifu R.Williams)
I know it takes lifetime to explore a few of the so many paths that Martial Arts offer to its practitioners but I was wondering: how long do you think it takes to be able to use Wing Chun in real life? How efficient do you think it can be?
I will search the forum for good links and videos but if you think of something I should watch I would be interested in hearing from it :)

Could you enlight me with your opinion on the syllabus, the lineage of the sifu... please? :)
(info in "school info")
thanks!

Hi and welcome!
Unless someone has gone to that school and can give you specific advice about teaching style, hours, rates, mood, etc., it ends up being a little like religion or politics, where 10 people will offer 50 opinions, not all of them informed, and friendly :)

hahaha, I can understand that...
I met with the teacher there. seems to be a nice guy. I was more interested in the student though: I was trying to gauge whether they were here for the fun of it or if some of them were serious practitioner.
I happily found out that some of them were serious about it (without being high flyers ;) )

Welcome to the forum and WC.
We have it all here: the cynics, the mystics, the Chi Sau kings (and queens), the fighters, etc.
All the best in your journey,

hello!
Thanks for your message
I was interested in Randy Williams when I saw the videos :)
the thing is that, on the website crcawingchun.com there is some information about the schools and their location. IT is mentioned "singapore" indeed but when you look at the directory it doesnt show up...
