Back in Septober of 1004, I embarked on what was, for me, the toughest strength-training program I've ever attempted. During the program, I could count on being almost too sore to lift my beer to my mouth for at least two days a week. You might ask "what about working out your legs, or your chest or back?" I say "bah, those muscles don't count! Who cares about legs when you can have a pair of 40" biceps sticking out of your t-shirt?":

No curls in the squat rack sissy boy! Everyone knows that when you do curls in the squat rack, the myofibrilar hypertrophy doesn't fully stimulate the long dangley googely-gag fiber dingle dangling down the hypermotivatoring ding-dong!
There are tons of scientific studies to back up my assertions, for example periodizationalism (http://www.bentbay.dk/body_buWom.htm). although an in-depth study would be too lengthy to print out here, I tried it once for three weeks, so I know it's B.S.
Noob.

If you really want to push some maximum poundage with your curling program try out the smith machine. You won't regret it.

It's because I love you man. You put me on the right track many years ago when it came to strength training, and I'll never forget it.

Oops, I haven't been in this thread in a while.
I need someone to put me on the right track now. I've been a dam.n slacker for about the last year. I've been going to the gym but you could call it "maintenance" working out. I haven't gotten stronger or bigger in like a year. wtfbbq. Actually, I think I had a mini-bout with depression a while ago which basically wiped out my movitation to train. I would drag my ass to the gym and do a half-assed workout, and I never had any appetite to eat so I lost a bunch of weight and strength. Wheee!
Maybe I need a 20 rep DL program to fix me. Except when I DL, my squat weight (and quad size) goes dowwwwwwwn. Can't have that.
And I tried the 20 rep squat thing but all it did was give me exertion headaches (is that what they're called?). After about rep 15 or 16 the back of my neck/head felt like it was going to explode. And no, it wasn't cuz I had the barbell on the wrong part of my neck, you n00bz!!!!!!!
