According to the video there are secret moves in the sets that the person had to take out, but you should get the idea.
The arms swings kind of reminds me of Frank McCarthy's CLF....what you say?

It's virtually impossible to say as all you really see linked together is the bow sequence. I have no idea why they do their Poon Kius 3 times. Anyone?

We do that sometimes. Mostly in our siu moi fah. It's for training the shoulders.

That was the only explanation I could come up with. Why not just do the form more often though?

I believe that CLF comes through Chan Kwok Wai from Brazil who is a well-known bak sil lum sifu. If I remember correctly he learned his CLF from Yun Yim Chau (not sure of the spelling) but would also have had some CLF influence through the Ku Yu Chueng/Tam Sam relationship. I have seen the multiple poon kiu's before with buk sing CLF.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Tx5v8KtqSqoAt first view I would say the form has characteristics of a Sup Ji, but on further examination I believe it maybe Ping Kuen there’s definitely a similarity in the sequence & pattern to the Ping kuen form done in the version my sifu does on the clip I loaded on Youtube (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nhao1XeMaRI).

Hi Guys. CLF Nole is right. This is Chan Kowk Wai´s Choy Lee Fut.
The form is Sup Ji Kiun.
Actually the guy is doing a sloppy performance and this is about 1/4 of the form actually.
The poon kius (i didn´t know this was it´s name in chinese) are done always 3 or 4 times to train shoulders and waists...
This guys are from my school, Kai Men.
When he says it´s a secret, it´s not saying that´s a secret form, but that in our school we don´t post COMPLETE sets usually. Just that.
I´ll be posting my version of Sup Ji for Xmas so you can se the whole form.
Chan Kowk Wai´s CLF is not too popular and i think it is a nice branch of Hung Sing CLF; so i think i´ll start posting some clips so we can share kowledge.
Kindest Regards
Pablo
do you study with H Di Renzo or with one of his students?

Although it's sup ji the pattern still resembles my sifu’s school’s version of ping kuen.

First let me say, I can't speak for the form posted.
Our siu moi fah is completely different from the other versions I have seen. Ours is a very long form (it can take 3-5min depending on the performer). It has alot of repetition in it. All the basics of CLF are there and repeated often. It was designed to build basics and endurance through repetition.

Our Mui Fa form is a very long form, in your version do you do left chyun sau then three poon sau’s (left, right then left) before you do a right yum chap choi,
We do that sequence at three diifferent sections in the first half of our mui fa form.
I'm just curious as both our CLF lineages come from Fong Yuk Shu.

whats up folks,
iron silk, i can see what you mean by the arms swings being similar to what I do, but in my branch we don't really do the 3 poon kiu's, we do 2 of them most of the time.
Although, it's good to see what Fut San Hung Sing CLF looks like, and how it's taken on different faces within different branches. some flows are different, emphasis, and things like that, but the techniques are there.
hope everyone's thanksgiving was great.
peace.
