A lot has been happening in the traditional 8-Step community lately:
- First, sad news. Mr. Wang Chiu Xiong passed away on March 28. He was one of the older students of Grandmaster Wei who had a reputation for having form movements that were the closest to Grandmaster Wei's. He also had a lot of knowledge about 8-Step and Grandmaster Wei's teachings that all of his contemporaries admired. He will be sorely missed. Memorial services will be held on April 17 in Taipei.
- On more of a positive note, Mr. Zuo Xian Fu has graciously allowed us to post a video of himself performing Li Pi. Mr. Zuo is a very well respected student of Grandmaster Wei's who is undeniably one of the leading influences in the 8-Step community today and continues to promote 8-Step to future generations. This is the first time this video has been made available publicly.
- Finally, we now have pictures from the annual sweeping of Grandmaster Wei's tomb in March of this year. The tomb sweeping was organized by Mr. Zuo and Mr. Vincent Chen, and attended by numerous 8-Step students, young and old.
