There is a training manual from Taiwan, in Chinese, featuring Yin Yu Zheng (son of Master Yin Fu), performing what is described in the manual as 'short form' Yin Fu Bagua. This manual has been translated into English by Plum Blossom Publishers. I have seen Yin Fu Bagua as taught by Sifu John Davies in London, UK. But the form practiced by Yin Yu Zheng is very different - rather like a Longfist style practiced in a circular direction. The commentary says that this is the Yin Fu style taught and practiced 'within' the Yin family. Suggesting that there are two styles of Yin Fu Bagua - an inner and an outer school. Does anyone have any more information on this matter?

Classic Reprint: LBRP-C007 $13.95 Unpaginated, around 65 pages.
BaGua Palm Concise Course
by Yin Yu Zhang

This 1932 edition was reprinted in 2002. If you are a BaGua enthusiast, this is an essential text for your shelf, as it contains photographs of Yin Fu's son performing BaGua. Classic photographs illustrate positions from the Eight Palm Changes. Circular diagrams with red annotation show corresponding stepping patterns. Textual notes include many keypoints about footwork. A thinner than usual book for this price, but Lion went to great effort to add the complementary text and diagrams mentioned above. Just a classic.

Thanks for that! Having seen Sifu John Davies version of Yin Bagua (from Dr Xie), Yin Yu Zhang's version is very different. On another forum, many people came forward with various Yin lineages, but no one new anything about the Yin family which apparently still live in Beijing and practice Yin Bagua! As Buddy aka 'Bob' from the emptyflower forum points out.

Other avenues of research are slowly getting closer to the form.

Thanks
