Hello everyone,
My name is Angelo and I am a new member to the forum but have been reading the posts for sometime now. I really enjoy reading the different posts and hopefully I can contribute as necessary to future discussions.
Since this is my first post, I will give a little background about myself to everyone.
I orginally started in Chinese Kenpo karate and achieved a 1st degree brown belt in the art. I really enjoyed the art and the people with whom I trained with. My teacher Dave was very open minded and actually encouraged us to explore other arts and the techniques within them. He really influenced me and we are very good friends.
However, I always wanted to learn Wing Chun and wanted to persue that art even before I started Kenpo karate. However, the Wing Chun teacher didn't teach on the days I had off so I chose Kenpo karate.
Currently, I am in Traditional Wing Chun kung fu (i.e. under William Cheung) and my sifu is Charles Boness (Milwaukee, Wisconsin). I also trained for a while with Marty Goldberg (Hi Marty how have you been? Hope everything is going well).
Within the last few years I have been traveling a lot for Wing Chun and have been to Australia twice and to a few places in the USA and Canada for seminars.
I soon would like to open my own school in the Milwaukee area.
