After the flap that I caused before I said that I would do further checking on Renzo Gracie's training methods. I just received a book titled "Training For Warriors-the Team Gracie Workout" I haven't had a chance to read it in detail,but it is a fabulous book. It is written by Martin Rooney. The training is extremely varied. It includes weight training including a lot of high rep speed work and well as numerous high rep bodyweight exercises. A lot of the weight work involves dragging and unusual angles. I am not a martial artist-my interest is in training techniques, but honestly I can't imagine any martial artist not having a copy of this book:

"I have watched fighters train all over the world for many years, and nothing produces results like the workouts in this book. If you are a combat athlete and have not read this book, you don't want to win."

Just messin' with ya. It does take a real man to admit when he's wrong. Bravo.

Thanks, I was wrong,but everything leads somewhere. I am really glad that as part of the process I found the other book. As I said my interest is in training and there are some great ideas in "Training For Warriors."{

It does look like a good book. I might have to pick it up.
