For anyone interested. There will be demos the first day and our group will be doing a Lion Dance as well. Some of the proceeds will go to help people with no medical coverage.

Hey Phil,

What are these "musical weapons" that are mentioned on the poster. Is it like "dueling banjos", or something? How about "fighting flutes"?? :p

Sorry for the bad puns. I just couldn't resist. Although I probably should have.

Seriously though, good luck with this charity event. Now that we have all seen what we can do with the Tsunami relief, we should not forget about those people, in our own backyard, who could use a helping hand.

Peace,

Thanks All. Thank God I'm a Vietnam Vet and have VA medical benefits. Some are not that lucky.

I forget the exact figures. About 1/3 of Arizonans do not have reliable medical insurance coverage.

Phil Phil,
That sounds like a heck of a price to pay for medical benefits.

If I lived in Kanata I wouldn't have to worry about that ;)

I'm there (Windsor,), a few times a week. But I really love T.O. It reminds of of NYC, only cleaner. I always keep a few Toonies in my pocket. :)

Hey Bill
Do you live in Kanata?
I just moved there towards the end of Nov.
Me and a few of the guys from class went to O'Connor's pub with your sifu last Tues night. It was fun hearing stories about Sigung and Moy Yat.
Fun stuff.

Hey Jeff,

No, but I work there though. I live in the Market.
Yeah, Sifu certainly enjoys talking Wing Chun.
Hopefully we can get together some time. PM me.

Bill:

Who's your instructor?

And what was his relationship to Moy Yat?

And who is the Sigung referred to in Jeff's quote?

Victor,

Jeff and I are both with Sunny Tang (Dunn Wah), who is the Sigung that he mentioned, but we have different sifus. I'm sure you know Dunn Wah's connection to Moy Yat.

"If asked where a trace of Wing Chun can be found, I praise Moy Yat and Dunn Wah." - Philip Ho.

I'll leave it at that. :)

OK, so I'm hijacking my own thread. :) It's amazing how little Americans know about Canada or any other part of the world for that matter. Most Americans can't name (or locate), all 50 States and many don't even know how many States there are. Most Canadians know though. I crack up when my friends from outside of Michigan ask me if it's always cold and snowing in Canada. I say no and I haven't seen any dogsleds . . lol
This clip is really sad though:

Hey guys
Sorry about that.
Sometimes I forget this is a message board.
Like Bill said, our Sigung is Dunn Wah but we have different sifu's.

Hey Phil,
You step on one Bush doll and it's the end of the world :D
I enjoyed that. I like to see that kind of bickering and arguing. I can watch that stuff all night and yell out things like ' oh snap' or 'bam' :p
It's like dirty dozens, man you can listen to that all night.

That clip is messed up. Coulter and her ilk are so mind-boggling, I don't know how people can take them seriously. I am glad that Crossfire got canceled and CNN fired Tucker Carlson. Yay!

I don't think anyone should take these folks too seriously. It's all about trying to get ratings by stirring up controversy. Canada has it's own share of wing-nuts, believe me. Nobody has a monopoly on stupidity. ;)
