Any CMA fighting against a japanese team should know they will send sabaki type fighters, which are japanese trained in thai boxing. You cannot use CMA against them because the gloves will negate all your power/technique. Just as a tip, watch either of the two Ali-Frazer fights and develope a crushing, stand up,inside left hook.Joe Fraizer beat the king of world because of his left hook.

A true CMA practitioner will clap two bricks together round their nether regions before the fight even starts.

Otherwise, it's not Kung Fu, but Karate.

Hence, Japan will defeat itself!

Follow my logic? :D

Last time the Japanese send a team of elite karate practitioner, it was one woman and five men, they have got their ass kicked like they were nothing. 6 - 0, winner goes to China. The shortest match was finished with a knockout in less than 60 second. I have still got the video of it.

These Japanese guys are up against not CMA practitioner, but San Da practitioner which is very similar with your Thai boxing in some cases. Let see if one of the Japanese will get KO in 30 second again.

Below is the video of how the Japanese got KO. The Japanese side actually changed their guys around in attempt try to win a match, thinking that the weight class advantage of the previous one might work out. However, unfortunately for them, the other guy lost as well.

I saw clips of that too, the Japanese got stomped, bad. San Da is a CMA style BTW. I don't think a kung fu style has to have forms, weapons and chi gung to be kung fu.

couldn't get your link to play but we shall see about this matchup anyway.been awhile since i've seen the japanese fight CMA.maybe CMA has figured it out that sabaki is thai boxing.really can't put much credibility on the outcome of sending a girl to fight unless of course it's Tiffany Chen!

This would be interesting to see. The outcome of course does all depend on the competitors. It also does depends alot on the schools in which these competitors will come from. I myself have, do and always will practice Kung Fu. I have on the other hand seen very impressive demonstrations by practitioners of Okinawan Shaolin Karate. It does not depend on the weapon that one uses, it depends on the hand holding it, ie; Its not the art that makes the fighter, its the fighter that makes the art. We must not forget that if we continue to remain closed minded we will never achieve true greatness. Dont get me wrong, I love Kung Fu more then life itself. But the Japanese did not lose this last competition because they are Japanese, nor because they practice Karate. They lost because they were people who did not have the proper drive, determination, or mindset to grasp thier goal.

I would but my broadband bandwidth usage is running low. I have only 1 Gb left and still got 15 days to go.

There are at least 25 people who downloaded the clip, I hope they can help out and upload the clip again.

Good post PangQuan.

Can I also say, I've never seen a Chinese guy (and the Chinese guys sent over here have of course been The Best in their arts ! ) win anything over here.

Why?

Even John Wong, I guy who's name I remember but unfortunately that's all, because he was ****ing fantastic! He got clear takedowns, and he bested his opponent in stand-up too, and the whole crowd, who started out by making fake kungfu Bruce Lee type noises and making supposedly funny attempts at imitating the Chinese language, the whole crowd finished up behind him and booing the ref's decision (unheard of over here) when he lost the fight on points!

So why?

Because they'd changed the rules on him, or they hadn't told him the correct rules carefully enough, possibly because of jet-lag, poor promoters providing shoddy accomodation, poor training facilities available for him over here, and then biased refs!

And you know, I've never seen any of these posts where people have said how good the opponents were.

So why is that?

Cos you're racist ****s.

Sure the Japanese were bad to China. Nearly 70 years ago. Sure some of them are still racist (tho in my experience many of them are very liberal in this respect and many of them even respect the Chinese greatly as being the originators of much of their culture). But that doesn't mean that you being racist is gonna help things now does it?!

phoenixdog
maybe CMA has figured it out that sabaki is thai boxing. It's more likely that they're practising kyoukushin or seidokan karate. Seidokan more than kyoukushin, but both of these look like thai if you don't know what you're seeing. really can't put much credibility on the outcome of sending a girl to fight unless of course it's Tiffany Chen! That's goooood! So you're a sexist AND a racist. Way to go. Let's try changing that ******* statement to: there's no point sending a girl to fight, unless it's a girls' bout of course. Twat.

edit: Oh and BTW, the yanks always did really badly in san da against the Chinese IN CHINA, until they started insisting on consistancy with the rules and the judges... and then what happened? They've started winning a respectable number of fights. It's still an uphill struggle tho, to get those judging standards in the first place.

Why you gotta call me a Yank, that is a derogitory term. I prefer American or Westerner. Thanks !

Mr Punch

Sorry man, I didn't know Americans found 'yank' offensive. Us limeys rarely use it as such, unless prefixed by some rather stronger word!

We don't find pom or limey offensive either, and I always thought of yank as being in the same league... also kind of like Ozzie or even Brit...

I live and learn,

sorry, and won't use it again.

Cool, I was mostly just screwing around with you though. It is kind of derogitory though.
