Whats up with the Avatar?

I have tried to upload a 30 x 30 pixel @ 1000 bytes image for my Avatar and it says its to big? any ideas?

The size it good - it can be up to 50 x 50 pixels - but 1,000 bytes?! Way too big. Reduce the file size to a few k and you'll be fine.
