i didn't compete due to my wrist injury but i was kool takin a break from the circuit. but my real competition was fighting against myself not to jump in and show some reall kf...hehe

okay SC heres the updates

lots of southern schools
jow ga and hung ga

how did i do?
some dude that looked like dmx gave me a speel on how i have to wear a cup during sparring, did it help? no, why? cause i got a full contact punch to the nose and the dr thought it was broken. oh mind you this was 30 minutes after my match. eh i dealt with it, i got dq'd cause i made him bleed from the nose. i guess he bled 2 more times after me. it was okay, the sparring in my division turned to be more rumbling and crap. im glad i got dqed early on. this was all suppossed to be liught contact sparring, :rolleyes: with no punches to the face, they got on my when i was punching to him high. my problem with sparring, i dont do it enough. the kid was going high so i blocked high then he would go lower and such, yeah i was doing okay, he would have probably won anyways. like i said it was turning into more brawling then anything with technique. i was trying technique on him but he was coming it me with jsut repeated punching and nothing else. it was eh, probably wont do it next year.

18-35 intermediate northern mens hand forms i got 1st :D i did eagle claw lohan. me i thought i sucked, but thank god i can do 3/4 of the form right.

18-35 intermediate mens short weapons, did place. it was gettin late and i kinda rushed through it to be more "energetic" bad idea. it turned out sloppy. i should have did it at normal place i might have done better.

overall - good tournament.
i met kungfuchic, she was a cool perscould beat me up
i met jow ga fist, he was doing awesome performing on crutches.
i met ten tigers also, he was a very good judge and sifu.
was looking for some other members like sun tzu but i couldnt find em.

I gave one kid my camera and told him to film. but it was bigger then last year so he was running around and caught the end to things. so not much worth posting up. my friends have the camera's, i never brought my digital one.

LarryD I think I saw you doing your form w/ the 3section, sorry I didn't get a chance to introduce myself, everytime I tried, something else came up, you know how that goes...

werd ten tigers was a awesome judge i thought. i got to talk to him afterwards, and I liked him a lot as a person/sifu/judge. me on the other hand, i dont know when to keep my mouth shut sometimes =X. glad to have met everyone. ill have some video footage up within a week or so.

That was probably me. I didn't see anyone else there doing 3 section. Anyway, I was told by my sifu that I should enter as a beginner since I've been studying for under 2 years and doing 3 section for just over 1 yr. After I finished my form one of the judges questioned why I entered beginner. I told him and offered to go again as intermediate. But they allowed it to stand and I placed 1st. They told me to consider moving up to the next level.

BTW I also competed at the US Capital Classics on saturday. I placed 1st in senior mens advanced weapons. and 2nd in forms.
I also got to see Wu Bin there. In all it was a great weekend.
BUT DRIVING IN DC SUX!
Hey, I just realized you are the guy I saw doing his form with crutches. I got to give you credit brother, that was amazing the way you moved and manipulated your staff. Great stuff!

I was wearing a black silk kung fu uniform with white frogs up the legs. Something I picked up in Chinatown (Boston) a few weeks ago. It's kinda cheap, It's hard to find a well made kung-fu uniform these days. I have video from the tournament but my primary hard drive on my home computer is damaged. "

Got there a little bit late but able to see some of the "Fighting". Wouldn't call it sparring, some guys were out for blood. Kind of hard to expect light contact from a guy wearing Boxing Gloves and a Full Face Shield. Just what I expected.

Was trying to keep a low profile as Sifu Wong was after me to judge. Was kind of hard though I forgot I was wearing this very bright red dragon shirt.

Did any of you go to the after tourney dinner. Haven't had so much fun in years. Sifu Wong is one really funny guy whether he knows it or not.

Wonder if Hoy Lee refunded the spear purchase to Gus Karpors who broke it during his hard qi gong spear break!!!!

yeah the dinner afterwards was fun stuff. sifu wong is a funny guy.
