Hey everyone, I was just wondering if anyone knew some stretches or ways to gain more flexibility. I just started shaolin kung fu some time ago and I have had problems with the flexibility in the muscles that let you do the side split and especially with the muscles you stretch while doing the butterfly stretch, and would appreciate if anyone out there would give me tips in improving my flexibility. I'm no expert but I like Pavel Tsatsouline's books Relax Into Stretch (http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/0938045288/qid=1086141317/sr=1-1/ref=sr_1_1/103-5035777-0867837?v=glance&s=books) and Super Joints (http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/0938045369/ref=pd_sim_books_1/103-5035777-0867837?v=glance&s=books). Pavel has an easy-to-read writing style and some good ideas. Expensive books, though.
