Chief Fox

I have several kung fu movies. I've tried to rent as many as possible and then buy the ones I like. Here's what I have in no particular order.

Iron Monkey
Snake and Crane Arts of Shaolin
5 Deadly Venoms
Decendent of Wing Chun
Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon
Rumble in the Bronx
Spiritual Kung Fu
Fists of Fury
Return of the Dragon
Enter the Dragon
HERO
Mortal Combat

What do you think? What are some of your favorites and why?

I would remove mortal combat and add "master of flying guillotine". I'd take off:

Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon
Rumble in the Bronx
Spiritual Kung Fu

also.

When I can think of ten, I'll post them.

Chief Fox, did you mean the original, (and best) Iron Monkey with Chan Kwan Tai or the newer Donnie Yuen version? Also add Mad Monkey Kung Fu.
I haven't seen it yet but I'm hearing that the Thai movie Ong Bak is better than any martial arts movie made to date.

No, I haven't seen the original Iron Monkey. I'll have to check it out. Any others?

MUSA, it's Korean.
Chan Kwan Tai was the 1969? SE Asia full contact champion and he really studied Monkey style before he got into movies.

general consensus that jet lis movies have turned to ****e now he is hollywodised, but I do think that cradle 2 the grave and that one where he is in france is pretty ultimate. bloodsport at LEAST deserves an honourable mention. also fist of legend is one of the best.

Look for Ong Bak on ebay. It's in Thai with English subs. It's got some of the best fight scencs ever, PERIOD. I just watched it.
Sing Lung (Jackie Chan) and Jet Li have nothing on the star of this film.

10 in no particular order:

Fist of Legend
36th Chamber of Shaolin
Drunken Master II
Once Upon a Time in China
Drive
Hero
Ong Bak
Shaolin Temple
The Master
Police Story II

Add to these all old Jackie stuff, despite the cheesy stories the action is always great, the Matrix trilogy for sheer techno-CMA cool, Crouching Tiger for mainstream romance-CMA, a lot of old Shaw Bros titles, etc etc etc.
